There is a new requirement for all Ontario incorporated companies to file an Annual Return via the Service Ontario website every year. The return includes the company’s address as well as a list of directors and officers. The return is due within 6 months of the company’s year end.
Before your first filing, you will need to request a company key from Ontario.
Request Company Key (https://www.appmybizaccount.gov.on.ca/onbis/companykey/?lang=en)
Once you receive the key and are ready to file:
File Ontario Annual Return (https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-business-registry)
Follow these steps:
- Select “Annual Return”
- Access your corporations Ontario Business Registry profile
- Select Create/Sign into My Ontario Account (1st time or previously signed in with One-Key choose Create Account)
- Select a profile > Continue
- Make Changes > File annual return
A history of filings can be found under “Filings”
