Pat Donohue is a tax man—the kind you want to hear from. Knowledgeable and extensively experienced, his prime objective is to help clients capitalize on tax planning opportunities.
Pat’s career has ranged across the full spectrum of business accounting. He has worked in major firms and has operated his own accounting practice.
Pat came to the profession by an unusual route: he originally studied biology, but an accountant’s mishandling of his father’s return one year made him consider applying his innate precision to accounting instead. Pat was drawn to Gary's team by its like-mindedness and methodical approach.
Although he started out as an auditor, tax has always been Pat’s passion. He completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) In-depth Tax Course in the early 1990s and has continually refined his expertise in the field since then. Pat articled for his CA designation with Harris, Title and Partners in Toronto and Price Waterhouse in Ottawa. He has presented seminars on tax, accounting and management topics. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree from the University of Waterloo.
